A membership investment is based on the average number of active employees of all classifications engaged in work within the area and on the company's payroll as of the month that the company joins GEA. The investment will cover the period of one year from the date of membership, and thereafter will be due and payable on the anniversary date of membership.

The Georgia Employers Association is a non-profit organization within Internal Revenue Service guidelines, and the investment is deductible as a routine business expense.
